Korean has been growing more and more popular in recent years, mainly thanks to the rising popularity of Korean soap operas (also known as K-dramas) and K-pop. Maybe you picked up new words while watching a Korean drama like Squid Game or listening to your favorite K-pop bop by BTS. If you’re interested in learning Korean, you might already know a few Korean words. Pimsleur is now available through app format, and for a monthly subscription of $14.95 you get access to all of their Korean courses. The course also includes a notable reading portion, which is also great. Still if you want to develop a functional (though very formal) vocabulary, while practicing your conversation skills, then Pimsleur might be worth a look. Nine times out of ten it uses the more formal Korean. Unfortunately though, in addition to writing, Pimsleur doesn't really teach the distinction between politeness levels in Korean.
